The HCSO Crime Laboratory is a forensic research facility in the Identification Division of the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office located in District V. Trias Construction was contracted to perform major demolition and renovation work to the building in order to refurbish it. 

Part of the renovation work included the installation of a hybrid fire suppression system that utilizes both chemical agent suppression and sprinklers, along with a complete overhaul of the entire plumbing system. Additionally, extensive electrical and ventilation work was also performed.

The final stage of the project consisted of outfitting the interior building with brand new, industry-standard forensic laboratory equipment. Other major modifications done to the building include new flooring, roofing, windows, and lighting

The Crime Laboratory is one of various different projects done by Trias Construction in order to  improve the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office’s work facilities.
